Simple Future Tense: The Future Indefinite Tense is used to express the action or event which is likely to happen in Future. In this tense we use shall/ will between the subject and the first form of the verb. Normally we use ‘shall with pronouns of first person (I, We). Future Tense
Simple Future Tense Formula:

Subject + shall /will + 1st form of verb + object.

Simple Future Tense is used:
1. To indicate an instant decision at the moment of speaking:
Examples:

  • Hold on. I’ll get a pen.
  • We will see what we can do to help you.

2. To indicate an offer or promise:
Examples:

  • You will get a mobile if you stand first.
  • I shall do all this for you.

3. We often use the future simple tense to make a prediction about the future.
Examples:

  • It will rain tomorrow.
  • One day the people will live on the Moon.

4. When the main verb is be, we can use the future simple tense even if we have a firm plan or decision before speaking. Examples:

  • I’ll be in London tomorrow.
  • I’m going shopping. It won’t be very long.
