Kemble made the illustration for the book “Huck Finn”. The novel consists of 366 pages and belongs to the series of Tom Sawyer. The genre of this novel is “Picaresque novel.”

What made the novel so remarkable is the use of colourful description of people and places that were along the river Mississippi. The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn is often considered as a scathing satire that mocks entrenched attitudes, especially racism. Mark Twain wrote about the Southern antebellum civilization in his novel that was supposed to exist about 20 years before his novel got published.

Huckleberry Finn has been an object of study for many literary critics after the publication of the novel. Mark Twain, the author of the novel, used an excessive amount of coarse language and that made the critics criticize “Huck Finn’ widely. Huck Finn contained many racial stereotypes including racial slur “nigger.”

Some remarkable characters of the novel are Tom Sawyer. Huckleberry Finn, Widow Douglas, Miss Watson, Jim, “Pap” Finn, Judith Loftus, etc. everyone had a proper recognition in the novel. Tom Sawyer was Huck’s best friend and the main character of the other Twain novels. Huckleberry Finn is known to his friends as “Huck.” Widow Douglas helped Huck to civilize him as Huck once saved her life from a violent home invasion. Miss Watson is another character of the novel, and she was the sister of Widow Douglas. Jim was the servant of Miss Watson. He was larger than Watson but was very less-mannered.

In 1993, a movie named “Huck Finn” also got released in the United States. The movie’s screenplay and storyline were based on the novel “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” by Mark Twain. The movie didn’t get success in the audience. “Huck Finn’ has a rating of 6.2 out of 10 in IMDB.

Stephen Sommers directed the movie while John Baldecchi and Steve White produced it. Stephen Sommers himself wrote the screenplay of the movie “Huck Finn.” The movie stars Elijah Wood, Courtney B. Vance, Robbie Coltrane, Jason Robards and others. Bill Conti created the music. Janusz Kaminski handled the cinematography while Bob Ducsay edited it.

Very famous production house Walt Disney Pictures was the production company of this movie and Buena Vista Pictures distributed it. On 2nd April 1993, “Huck Finn”, a movie of 107 minutes of running time, got released in the United States. The budget for the movie was 6.5 million dollars, and it earned 24.1 million dollars in the box office.
