Cup

A cup is a type of container in the shape of a bowl and is used to store liquid for drinking and pouring. It can be made of glass, porcelain, clay, metal, wood, stone, or other materials.

Cups have a handle fixed to their side and are sometimes decorated as well. Different types of cups have different uses, like measuring cups, teacups, etc.

Mug

A mug is a kind of cup that can generally hold larger quantities of liquids. Hot drinks such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc., are consumed in a mug.

Like cups, mugs also have a handle, but they are not used in proper places, unlike cups. We can use bone china, Pyrex, clay, porcelain, steel, plastic, and other materials for making a mug.

Glass

Primarily known as a tumbler, it is glass, stainless steel, and plastic container. It is used for drinking or pouring liquid.

There are various types of glasses, and each glass has different uses. There are table glasses, iced tea glasses, water glasses, shot glasses, and many other glasses available.

Bottle

A bottle is a narrow-necked container for storing liquids. It can be used to store different kinds of liquids like wine, soft drinks, oil, water, shampoo, ink, chemicals, etc.

Available in various shapes and sizes, the mouth of a bottle can be sealed with a cap. A bottle is made of impermeable materials like clay, plastic, glass, etc., and has various types.

Jug

A jug is a type of container which usually has a narrow opening through which liquid can be poured. Jugs are designed with a handle, while some jugs also have a pouring lip.

Mostly made of metal, ceramic, and glass, nowadays, the use of plastic jugs can also be seen. They can hold any type of drinkable liquid and are usually referred to as pouring vessels.

Jar

A jar is a type of rigid container which is either cylindrical or slightly conical in shape. It is made of ceramic, glass, and plastic and has a wide mouth that can be closed with a lid, or a cork stopper, or any other suitable material.

They are used for storing food items, medicines, cosmetics, and chemicals. Jars have a variety of types like a bell jar, glass jar, spice jar, apothecary jar, and many others.

Tin/Tin can

It is a type of thin metal container, which is used for storing goods. Foods items, beverages, chemicals, oils, etc., can be stored inside these tins.

Bowl

A bowl is a round-shaped container that is used for cooking and serving food. The inside of a bowl is shaped like a sphere-shaped cap, and the edges and the bottom of the bowl form a seamless curve. Due to its structure, it becomes appropriate for storing liquids and loose food.

Bowls come in different sizes and are the most common vessel for serving and eating food.

Pot

A pot is a vessel used for cooking. It is often more significant than a pan and has tall and wide edges. Pots are used for boiling fluids, like stew or soup.

Basket

A basket is a container that is usually built from stiff fibers, runners, cane, and wood splints. Baskets are helpful as well as artistic and appealing. Some are used for religious purposes, while some are used for harvesting, cooking, laundry, processing grains and seeds, and many other similar purposes.

Spray bottle

A spray bottle is a kind of bottle that can spray or squirt liquids. There is various usage of spray bottles that involves the use in cosmetics, chemicals, dispensing cool cleaners, mixing concentrates, and much more.

Bag

A bag is a container that can store a variety of goods. They are made of plastic, leather, paper, jute, and other similar materials.

Bags are handy since they are portable and help an individual to carry multiple items together with convenience. There are different types of bags that have different uses. While some bags are disposable, some bags are long-lasting, and some can be reused for different uses.

Packet

It is a container in which goods are usually sold. A packet is made of plastic, or paper, or cardboard and sometimes has handled.

A packet is used for carrying items and is available in different shapes and sizes.

Carton

A carton is a type of box or a container that is made of paperboard, or liquid packaging board, or corrugated fiberboard. Available in different shapes and sizes, there are different types of cartons having different uses.

People use cartons for storing milk, food items, beverages, eggs, hardware, etc.

Box

A box is a square or rectangular-shaped container which is used for storing various items. It is made of cardboard, wood, metal, and other similar materials and either has an attached or a removable lid.

Tube

A tube is a cylindrical and hollow container that is enclosed by different caps. The bottom end of a tube is usually sealed by folding, while the opening is circular and is sealed by a cap.

Tubes are generally made of plastic, metal, and paperboard. They store viscous liquids such as toothpaste, paints, ointments, adhesives, and similar products.

Tray

A tray is a flat container whose edges are a bit elevated. They are primarily used for carrying or holding different types of products.

Tub

A tub is a container with an open top. They are made of concrete, plastic, and metal and are used for storing multiple items.

Some plastic tubs, which generally store dairy products, have attached or separate lids which protect the item inside.

Bunch

A bunch is a collection of many items, usually of the same kind. The items are either secured together or are growing together. A group of individuals can also be referred to as a bunch.

Liter

A liter is a metric unit of volume. It is used for measuring the quantity or capacity of liquids by the size of their container.

Dozen

A set or group of twelve items or individuals.

Loaf

It is a quantity of bread. A loaf is baked in one piece and is, before eating, it is usually sliced.

Kilogram

A kilogram is the SI unit used to measure mass. It is used for measuring the weight of various objects.

Piece

A piece is a section or fragment of an object or material. It is usually obtained by tearing, cutting, or breaking the whole.

Slice

A slice is a thin and wide portion of food, which is obtained from cutting the more significant portion of the food. The food items can be bread, cake, meat, etc.

Blister pack

A blister pack is a type of packaging made of plastic, which is used for storing pharmaceuticals, food, and other consumer goods.

Bar

A bar is an amount of food or other substance that is produced in the shape of a long and narrow block.

Six-pack

A six-pack means a pack of six beer cans that are secured together by a plastic fastener.
